Rant: 'End of the World' Predictions

Ok, so I'm gonna do a rant now, which is pretty rare for me, so yeah.

And I'm not gonna rant about pissy friends at school. o-o I'm gonna do something more general which is (read the title).

Okay, so yeah, now everybody ranging from superstitious scientists to the guy next door is talking about 2012 or the so-called end of the world.

Yeah, and they said 2000 was the end of the world too.

"Oh, wow! 2000 was such a horrible apocalypse! I went to KINDERGARTEN! Then I learnt to write and my English.... IMPROVED! OH NOES! I hope 2012 won't be that bad!!!!"

Sheesh.

"BUT IT WAS JUST SOME BIBLICAL PREDICTIONS! NOW, THIS IS SCIENTIFIC STUFF!!!!"

Yeah, and it just so happens to be on 21/12/2012. Ooh, what a nice date. All 1's and 2's. Just like 7/7/2007 and 6/6/2006. Well, I guess if we're gonna end the world, we should pick a nice date right????

Human prophecies aren't accurate, even if they have scientific studies to back them up. And I don't think they determined the date through scientific studies only. They still used the Mayan Calendar to prove their point, which ends at this particular date.

Yeah, well, all those will probably cause the Earth to asplode. BUT.... did any of them make a hint that the world would end EXACTLY on 2012? No, right?

Because if the humans were to be warned of the end of the world beforehand, then won't it cause widespread panic? Heck, now, humans are already causing themselves widespread panic OVER NOTHING by making these predictions.

Old Channels Rule!

On 15 July, YouTube is going to completely change all the channel designs to the Beta ones, as you can see in the link above.

And as you can see, the new version.... SUCKS ARSE.

First of all, the videos. It's SO HARD to find what you want to watch with that mini-sized box with all the videos squeezed in and you have to scroll down everything. It gives me a freakin' headache! Whereas we can just click the 'See All' button and have all the videos appear in the whole page in our current channels.

Second of all, advertisements. Seriously. The new channels allow advertisements and it just makes everything SO DARN LAGGY! What benefit does that bring?

The top 9 video option will be removed and you can't have your own custom background images anymore!

A lot of Youtubers have suggested for the option to decide for themselves whether they want to keep the old channels or change to the new ones. But I doubt Youtube is going to listen since they've already come up with this shit-loaded idea of just changing the channel design of every single living being on Youtube without hearing them out.

It's just completely wrong.

But no one down there noticed. Rofl.

The "Tales" series is a game franchise produced by Namco.

10. Any Other "Tales" Opening Aside From My Top 9
'Cause the rest sound equally good to me.

9. Key to My Heart by Mai Kuraki (Tales of Destiny 2)

I know it is particularly un-suiting for a "Tales" game and pretty much could be a J-pop song alone, but I still like the "soft" feeling about it.

8. Yume de Aru Youni by DEEN (Tales of Destiny)

Yeah, the prequel has the better song. xD

7. Fly Away by BACK-ON (Tales of the World : Radiant Mythology 2)

Fills the requirements for a "Tales" game. It's full of life.

6. Nininsankyaku by misono (Tales of Symphonia : Dawn of the New World)

No match for that of its prequel, but still one of my favourites.

5. TAO by Do As Infinity (Tales of Legendia)

No comment, I just like it. xD

Alright, I renewed my memory card. My last one went BZZZZT for some reason.

So, I've been in a controller-pressing mood lately. Recently, I've been playing Tales of Eternia. And I finally beat Undine! Not easy though. So now, I'm at the part where I have to confront Efreet (the fire Craymel who's supposedly more immature than Sylph, though I hardly believe it to be possible). It was pretty easy to find his domain with the floating-air-board-thingy (it was a really long name) that Sylph gave me. SYLPH IS SO CUTE <33 not to mention useful. So, I was fooling around with it thinking "YAY! NOW I DON'T HAVE TO SPEND BILLIONS OF GALD JUST TO TRAVEL IN THE SAME CONTINENT!" And then, I encountered an island in the centre of Inferia with a mountain called Farlos (at least, that's what the map said). And someone there told me about a "bridge" at the top of the mountain. So, whoopie, now I know where the Bridge of Light is, so I can get myself to Celestia. Sadly, I still have to collect Efreet and Rem, I think. Oh, and I'm never going to the Forest of Temptation again. Ever.

In a pretty lazy mood these days since, well, the holiday just started so the only thing I've been doing on the Internet is browsing. I haven't even been working on my Maple seires. ><

Well, here I am to blog about the school year of 2008.

Lodge - My School, My Home

Looking back from now, I realize that.... 2008 is really a year that I would never want to forget. Sure, there've been some arguments, disagreements and broken friendships. But, all in all, it was.... how do you say it.... good. I found that this year, our class was really.... united, everyone got along very well, and worked together.

Karen is leaving to go and study abroad. I can only say, may God bless you with success in whatever you do in future :) and the whole class and I will miss you. :(

Mr. Lee, after years of dedication to the school and his students, is retiring. God bless you and I hope you will spend your remaining years in peace (you probably will since there aren't going to be students running around pestering you :D). We'll all miss you lots.

I also congratulate everyone about their UPSR results. It doesn't matter whether you got 5A's or not, as long as you worked hard, you should be proud of yourselves (and don't forget to give thanks to God!).

Since Sgt. Keroro has stopped airing on Animax, and I have nothing much to do, I'm working on a collab with Zac (the only guy who's more obssessed with anime than I am, WHY, ZAC, WHY!?)

Anyway, I'm working on comics with him based on the anime (sorta like Sgt. Keroro: The Next Generation). And we made like thousands of OCs for it. Zac wants to show it to the public, and I suggested deviantART (but he's that scared of flamers and we don't have scanners).

Tried making a Maple account. But, I can't because the DATABASE IS IN MAINTAIN MODE or whatever. Maintenance, don't you just hate it? XD

UPSR is finally over.... and I'm happy but bored.
I would like to first thank God, for blessing me with wisdom and answering my prayers, because without Him, I wouldn't be able to get straight A's even if I tried.
